Thanks for your comment, Silvia. I have modified Step 4 and added a new Step 11 to better explain. The primitive variables should be wired to its equivalent primitive color styles, such as a base palette.

After you create and wire the semantic variables to the primitives, you can map the semantic variables to its equivalent color styles. I.E. the icon-error color style will wire to the icon-error semantic variable.
